Modern Slavery and Ethical Sourcing Policy
1. Purpose
At SAIRA, we are committed to ensuring that all parts of our business and supply chain are free from modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking.
We believe in conducting business ethically, sustainably, and with respect for human rights in line with our Soil Association Organic Certification standards.
2. Our Commitment
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in all its forms.
We work only with suppliers, partners, and contractors who share our commitment to ethical labour practices.
We require transparency from all organisations we work with, and we expect them to demonstrate compliance with applicable modern slavery and human trafficking laws.
3. Supplier Standards
We expect our suppliers to uphold the rights and wellbeing of their employees.
Suppliers must ensure that:
Employment is freely chosen.
Working conditions are safe and hygienic.
Child labour is not used.
Fair wages and working hours are respected.
Abuse, discrimination, and intimidation are not tolerated.
4. Risk Management and Monitoring
We assess potential risks in our supply chain related to modern slavery and take appropriate steps to manage and reduce those risks.
We seek assurances from our suppliers regarding their compliance with modern slavery laws and ethical practices.
If concerns arise, we are committed to taking appropriate action, which may include ending a business relationship.
5. Training and Awareness
We promote awareness of modern slavery risks among our employees and key stakeholders.
Relevant team members are encouraged to understand the indicators of modern slavery and the steps to take if concerns are identified.
6. Reporting Concerns
We encourage anyone (internal or external) who suspects modern slavery or unethical practices to report their concerns confidentially to info@sairaskin.co.uk
7. Review
This policy is reviewed annually to ensure its ongoing effectiveness and alignment with best practices, ethical sourcing expectations, and our Soil Association Organic Certification requirements.
