Why did SAIRA create a lip oil instead of a lip balm?
Many conventional lip balms rely on petroleum and waxes that simply sit on the surface to reduce moisture loss. We wanted to create a Certified Organic alternative that actively nourishes the lips with plant oils, vitamins and antioxidants that support healthier lips over time, while still giving an instant glossy finish.
Is it suitable for sensitive lips?
Yes. Like every SAIRA product, it has been formulated with skin health in mind. Our Certified Organic formula is free from petroleum, synthetic fragrance, artificial colours and unnecessary fillers, making it ideal for lips that feel dry, delicate or easily irritated.
Will it make my lips look fuller?
Yes, but naturally. Hydrated lips reflect light better and appear smoother, softer and visibly plumper. Our Lip Oil doesn't contain irritating plumping ingredients that create a tingling sensation; it simply helps lips look healthier and more naturally full.
Can I wear it over lipstick?
Absolutely. Wear it alone for naturally glossy, healthy looking lips or layer it over lipstick or lip liner to add shine and extra nourishment throughout the day.
How often should I use it?
As often as your lips need it. Apply throughout the day to maintain hydration and shine, and use a generous layer overnight as an intensive lip treatment while you sleep.
Why do lips need different skincare from the rest of the face?
The skin on the lips is much thinner than facial skin and contains no oil (sebaceous) glands, so it can't produce its own protective oils. That's why lips dry out so easily and benefit from regular nourishment with lipid rich, Certified Organic botanical oils.
Does it only give shine, or does it actually improve my lips?
Both. You'll notice immediate shine and comfort after application, but with regular use the certified organic oils, fruit extracts, bakuchiol and antioxidant-rich botanicals help leave lips feeling softer, smoother and better conditioned over time.
